Xie Tai Feng

Biography

Xie Taifeng, male, was born in September 1958, Communist Party member. He majored in Political Economics, graduating from the Department of Economics of Zhengzhou University with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics in December 1981. In July 1986, he graduated with Master’s degree in Economics from the Department of Money and Banking of Southwest University of Finance. Later he graduated from the School of Finance of Southwest University of Finance and Economics and was conferred Doctoral degree in Economics in May 1999. He was sent to the School of Economics of University of Bordeaux 1 as Senior Visiting Scholar in October 1993. He had an exceptional promotion to professor in 1995. Currently he serves as Dean and Adviser of Doctoral Students of the School of Finance at Capital University of Economics and Business.

He is the former Associate Dean of the Business School and Dean of the Department of Finance at Zhengzhou University, General Manager of the Beijing Securities Research and Development Center, Party Branch Secretary and Professor of the Institute of Business Administration Branch of the Beijing Machinery Industry Institute. He has engaged for a long time in financial and securities teaching and research, and he has published more than 200 papers in national and local journals and newspapers, such as the Journal of Financial Research, Finance, & Trade Economics, Studies of International Finance, Financial Forum, People's Daily, Financial Times, China Securities Journal, and others. He has also edited 30 books working separately or cooperatively.

Among them, the thesis, published in the Review of Economic Research (134th edition), “Strategic Choice of National Regional Economic Development During the 1990s” won "Five Best Ones Project" Award from the Central Propaganda Department in 1992. His monograph Research on Financial Services Reform won provincial third prize of the Henan Province Social Sciences Research Award in 1994. Another book, Banking Theory, was awarded second prize by the China College Humanities and Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award of the Ministry of Education in 2003.
