First “Story with Volleyball” of Capital Universities Speech Contest Final Held at CUEB

On April 27th, the first “Story with Volleyball” of capital universities speech contest final was held in CUEB. Zhang Wei, Minister of Department of Teaching & Research of Federation of University Sports of Beijing (FUSB), Cao Zhenchun General Secretary of Volleyball Branch of FUSB and Ge Chunlin, Volleyball Expert of Beijing Sport University (BSU), attended the contest as guest judges. 19 contestants from 14 capital universities told their stories with volleyball. After the fierce competition, Li Na and Cheng Ruyi, students from the College of Business Administration and School of Accounting of CUEB respectively, won the second and third prizes with their speeches entitled “What Volleyball Means to Me” and “Life is Beautiful with Volleyball”.

Focusing on the theme of “Story with Volleyball”, students expressed their affection for volleyball based on their knowledge and experience.

Zhou Huayu, a contestant from the College of Business Administration of CUEB expressed his gratitude for this precious opportunity for volleyball amateurs. He said, “There are many people who love volleyball. I feel really encouraged by hearing different stories. Thanks for this opportunity and I hope this event achieve greater success!”
