Research Field
Professor Liang has been devoted in the theory research and its application of statistics for a long period. His main interest focuses on the Statistical Model Selection and Statistical Average, Nonparametric and Semi-parametric Regression, Ultra High-Dimensional Date Analysis, Quantitative Economics and Econometrics, AIDS Clinical Test and Dynamic Modeling.
Main Research Achievements
Since 2005, as the principal investigator, Profess Liang undertook seven research grants sponsored by the American Natural Science Foundation and American National Institutes of Health, and the research funds amount to US $2.4 million. He was granted a Hong Kong and Macau Overseas Scholars’ Research Fund. He has published two books and over 140 theses among which 20 theses were published in four top-level journals of International Statistics, including The Annals of Statistics, Biometrika, JRSSB, and JASA. He is also the deputy-editor of The Journal of Nonparametric Statistics.
