Faculty
CUEB boasts well-structured, high-quality, dynamic, and innovative faculty members who are in line with the school’s development and the needs of teaching and discipline construction.
CUEB currently has more than 1,800 faculty members, including more than 1,000 full-time teachers, among whom 199 are professors, and 395 are associate professors or equivalent. There are 172 doctoral student advisers and 500 master student advisers. Among the current faculty, there are 24 recipients of the Beijing Distinguished Teacher awards, winners of Advanced Individuals in the National Education System, National Distinguished Educators, and National Outstanding Scientific and Technological Workers, members of Changjiang Distinguished Scholars, National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, National Special Support Plan for High-level Talents, National Cultural Celebrities and “Four Batches of Talents” Award as well as Ideological and Cultural Young Talents Programs Organized by Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, Programs for New Century Excellent Talents in University of Ministry of Education of China, Beijing Young Scholars and University Research Innovation Development Action Plan in Beijing.
In 2006, the university initiated a teacher career development program and established the CUEB Office of Teacher Advancement (OTA), one of few programs in this category in China. CUEB’s OTA is a teacher-governed organization dedicated to teacher career planning and advancement.
