Zhang Jun

Professor Zhang Jun, adviser of doctoral students, dean of Graduate Department

Education and working experience

Professor  Zhang Jun graduated from University of Science and Technology of China  majoring in automated control in 1984. He was later sent to France to  study sponsored by the government in 1985. He graduated in 1990 from  Paris Dauphine University, and received a master's degree and Ph.D. in  computer management. He lived in France from 1990 to 1995, and worked in  Northern France Bank. In 1995 he returned to China, with an expert  certification from the National Ministry of Personnel. After returning  home, he served as an official of the Ministry of Information Industry  and as senior executive for a number of private companies. In 2002 he  transferred to Capital University of Economics and Business, served as  the dean of Department of Software, School of Information; vice  president of School of Information, director of the Professional Master  Education Center. Currently he is the professor of School of  Information, adviser of doctoral and graduate students, director of  Graduate School and secretary-general of school Degree Evaluation  Committee.

Research field

His research mainly involves management science and application of information technology in management.

Research achievements

He  has directed the design, development, project management and  integration of multiple large-scale information systems, involving  public security, banking and securities industries. He also presided  over the completion of two National Natural Science Foundation projects,  participating in a number of national, provincial and ministerial  scientific research projects, and completed two projects commissioned by  State Council Development Research Center. He had two monographs issued  and a number of theses published in authoritative and core journals.  Now he is the evaluation expert for communication of National Natural  Science Foundation.
