Technology Economics and Management
  • A Discipline Development Overview

    Technology Economics and Management is one of thekey construction disciplines of Beijing. This discipline was authorized to confer Master of Technology Economics and Management Degree in 2005 and a Ph.D. of Technology Economics and Management in 2011, and has also established a Mobile Post-doctoral Station. About 4 to 6 postgraduate students and 2 or 3 Ph.D. students are enrolled annually. The current research fields include technology innovation management; E-commerce technology innovation andbusiness model innovation, standardization, research, development;logistics management and supply chain management. The faculty of this discipline is young and vibrant, with 3 professors, 5 associate professors, and 4 lecturers, among them 1 doctoral supervisor and 1 master’s student supervisor. Notably, Professor Guo Weidong is also a member of the E-Commerce Teaching Advisory Committee under the Ministry of Education.

    During the 12th Five-yearPlan period, the discipline of Technology Economics and Management has obtained considerable development. Many research projects have been carried out within the discipline, including 1 major project and 3 projects supported by the National Social Science Foundation of China, 1 project by the National Natural Science Foundation, and many other provincial and ministerial projects. Besides, 5 academic monographs and over 100 papers have been published, more than 20 of which are indexed by SCI, SSCI, EI, and ISTP.
