From March 24th to 26th, 2018 China Development Forum, sponsored by the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC) and organized by the China Development Research Foundation (CDRF), was held at Beijing Diaoyutai State Guest House. Thirty-six postgraduate volunteers of CUEB participated in the security service of the forum, and this is the third consecutive year that CUEB students volunteered at the Forum. 

During the forum, CUEB volunteers were mainly responsible for the security services including identity verification, entry check and order maintenance, etc. Their brilliant performance won praise from both the host and the delegates. After the forum, CDRF highly commended their excellent performance with a letter of thanks.

On March 2nd, at the invitation of Qiao Zhengyang, Director of the Human Resources and Scientific Research Management Department of CDRF and also a student of the Class of 1989 of CUEB, Zhao Xiling, Director of the External Relations and Cooperation Department of CUEB, Sun Mingchun, Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee of CUEB, and Xu Kun, Vice Chairman of the Graduate Students Council came to Diaoyutai State Guest House to conduct discussions on how to do volunteer service. The day before departure, Sun Mingchun mobilized and trained all volunteers.

On March 25th, Feng Pei, Party Secretary of CUEB, Zhao Xiling, Director of the External Relations and Cooperation Department of CUEB, and Zhang Tong, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of CUEB came to Diaoyutai State Guest House to convey greetings to the volunteers. Feng Pei encouraged the volunteers to grasp this rare opportunity for learning and practice and strive to contribute to the success of the forum with quality and efficient services. Feng Pei also held talks with Qiao Zhengyang, during which he expressed thanks to Qiao and CDRF for their great support for CUEB and invited him to Alma Mater for visits.
