11th Annual Meeting of Labor Relations Branch of China Human Resource Development Association Held at CUEB

From June 9th to 10th, the 11th Annual Meeting and Academic Symposium of Labor Relations Branch of China Human Resource Development Association (CHRDA) was held in the lecture hall of Boxue Building at CUEB. Feng Pei, Party Secretary of CUEB, Zhang Mingqi, Vice Chairman of China Law Society and Former Vice President of All-China Federation of Trade Union, Nie Shengkui, Director of Labor Relations Branch of Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the PRC (MOHRSS), Liu Peng, Vice Chairman of China Enterprise Confederation as well as Chang Kai, President of Labor Relations Branch of CHRDA, attended the meeting. Feng Xiliang, Dean of School of Labor Economics of CUEB, was selected as the new president of the Branch in the new leadership election during the annual meeting.

The annual meeting was sponsored by Labor Relations Branch of CHRDA and organized by the School of Labor Economics of CUEB. With the theme of “The Building of Harmonious Labor Relations in the New Era”, the meeting focused on the discussions about the theory and practice of harmonious labor relations in the new era, problems and countermeasures of labor relations against the new economic background, research of labor market, payments and working hours, labor laws, dispute settlements and human resource management, etc. More than 230 researchers from 100 universities and research institutes shared their insights to promote common development.

In the opening ceremony, Feng Pei pointed out that we need to pay close attention to a series of issues related to labor relations against the background of economic structural adjustment in the new era and the coexistence of traditional and new industries. The improvement of harmonious labor relations is related to the building of a social structure of co-construction, co-governance and shared benefits, as well as the building of a country's business environment and prosperity of its future economy. As an important teaching and research institute of labor science and labor relations in China, CUEB will continue to devote itself to building harmonious labor relations with domestic peers.
