On the afternoon of June 14th, a delegation led by Zou Jin, Deputy Party Secretary of Honghe University, Peng Qiang, Vice President of the university, Zhou Bin, Standing Committee member of Mengzi Municipal Party Committee and Director of United Front Work Department, came to CUEB for an exchange visit. Xu Fang, Deputy Party Secretary of CUEB, met the delegation of Honghe University before the symposium.

On behalf of CUEB, Xu Fang extended warm welcome to the delegation of Honghe University. Xu Fang said that the cooperation between the two universities has a long history. Under the cooperation framework of "1+3" Education Alliance, achievements have been made in many areas, such as discipline development, teaching and research, talent team building, international exchange and cooperation, etc. Xu Fang briefly introduced the basic information of CUEB’s development and its Research Institute of Megalopolis in recent years, and she also hoped that both sides could give play to their respective advantages to promote in-depth exchanges and cooperation for common development.

At the symposium, the two sides introduced their basic information and cooperation intention. They had a discussion on many aspects, including the development and construction needs of Mengzi City, the construction of Southern Yunnan Urban Development Research Center of Honghe University, and the research on the construction plan of Southern Yunnan Center in collaboration with CUEB’s Research Institute of Megalopolis.

Based on the cooperation foundation of "1+3" Education Alliance Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement between Honghe University and CUEB, a cooperation intention was reached between the Research Institute of Megalopolis of CUEB and Southern Yunnan Urban Development Research Center of Honghe University.
