On July 17th, the Seminar on Financial Subsidy Policy of Donation Income of Beijing Municipal Universities Education Foundation was held at CUEB. The foundations discussed issues such as the use, accounting and performance appraisal of financial subsidy funds. After listening to the reports on the management and use of financial subsidies of various universities, the relevant department leaders of Beijing Finance Bureau and Beijing Municipal Education Commission interpreted relevant policies. Ding Lihong, Vice President of CUEB and Vice Chairman of Beijing Municipal Universities Education Foundation, attended the seminar. Zhao Xiling, Director of the External Relations and Cooperation Office of CUEB and Secretary-general of Beijing Municipal Universities Education Foundation presided over the meeting.

Ding Lihong expressed gratitude to the relevant department leaders of Beijing Finance Bureau and Beijing Municipal Education Commission, as well as the colleagues of Beijing Municipal Universities Education Foundation. He also shared his thoughts on the effects and problems of the policy of financial subsidy for donation after two years' trial, and looked forward to the effective implementation of policies, social support, as well as contribution to the development of universities and Beijing.

Li Chenguang, Deputy Director of the Education Business Division of Beijing Finance Bureau, pointed out that Beijing introduced interim measures on financial subsidies management of the donation of ordinary colleges and universities, which was a groundbreaking practice. After two-years trial implementation of the policy and before the introduction of the formal management measures, we need to take stock of the effects of the policy implementation, the use of funds and relevant opinions and suggestions of various universities, so as to provide a basis for improvement. Liu Wei, Deputy Director of Finance Division of Beijing Municipal Education Commission, pointed out that against the background of education reform, financial subsidy policies of the donation income should play as a leverage to promote the development of universities and higher education. The foundations will be operated as projects under the guidance of relevant policies. The aim is to promote the capacity building of Beijing municipal universities, social influence and future "Double-First Class" development to realize the goal of "Respect Teaching, Assist Teaching, Promote Education".
