School of Economics and Management from Shihezi University Delegation Led by Yang Xingquan Visits CUEB

On the morning of April 15, Yang Xingquan,Dean of the School of Economics and Management of SHZU (Shihezi University) and his colleagues visited CUEB to have in-depth exchanges on the construction of new liberal arts, first-class majors and courses in Economics and Management, and training base for top students in Economics. Vice president Wang Yonggui attended and presided over the symposium.

 

 

Wang Yonggui welcomed Yang Xingquan and his colleagues and briefed the history and development of CUEB, focusing on the detailed interpretation of the construction of the Economic and Management major. Wang said that SHZU is a key university in the “211 project” with distinctive features, hoping the two universities could strengthen communication and learn from each other for greater achievements in the construction of Economics and Management disciplines.

 

 

Yang expressed thanks for the warm reception and introduced the history, features and future plan of SHZU, hoping that both universities could keep in touch to establish a long-term communication mechanism and support each other to make progress together.

 

 

Wang Jun, Dean of the School of Economics, introduced the school’s basic information in terms of experimental class in economics, international development, etc... Gu Fenling, Dean of the School of Accounting, introduced the school’s international education, innovation and application-oriented talents cultivation and information-based intelligent business construction. Huang Suping, Dean Assistant of the School of Business Administration, introduced the school's enrollment, world-class majors and professional certification. Jiang Hong, Deputy Director from Office of Research, introduced measures for research management, such as, the school's efforts to develop research for application and for a better service to Beijing in the guidance of "combing theory with practice”. Shang Xiaohui, Director of Personnel Office, introduced the personnel construction and future plan in terms of the introduction, cultivation, utilization and assessment of staffs. Both universities took a down-to-earth attitude and had in-depth exchanges on issues such as the application for world-class majors, the construction of teaching staff, the model of cultivating students and the employment of graduates.

 

Yang and his colleagues visited CUEB’s History Museum before the symposium, learning the history and development of CUEB. Wei Tiemei, Deputy Dean of the School of Economics and Management of SHZU, Liu Zhui and Zhang Jie, Directors of Business Administration and Economics College, Wang Lei, Director of the Office of Party and Governance Affairs of the school and Liu Lei, Director of the Office of Xinjiang (the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps) Institute of Economic Development and Management Innovation also attended the symposium. Zhao Lingfei, Deputy Director of the Office of Party and Governance Affairs of CUEB accompanied teachers from SHZU for the research.
