On February 27, the meeting of the Beijing Education Yearbook (2023) was held at the China Machinery Industry Information Institute. During the meeting, 15 universities in Beijing, including Capital University of Economics and Business, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Technology and Central University of Finance and Economics, 13 other schools at various levels and 22 education management departments, were awarded as the excellent units of the 2022 Beijing Education Yearbook.

Taking up the mission to “record the history for the Party and the country, and to write the yearbook for the people and our century”, CUEB always attaches great importance to the work of the yearbook, making great efforts to promote resource connectivity of "history, records and almanac". The Yearbook records major initiatives and important achievements of the school's development in the previous year, as well as the efforts and enthusiasm of all teachers and students. The content is reviewed by the leaders of our university, with the cooperation of relative departments and schools.  It will be submitted to the Beijing Education Yearbook after reviews by the chief editor and the executive editor of CUEB Yearbook, making sure that it is accurate both politically and professionally.

In 2022, CUEB submitted 26 articles with 12,000 words and 26 pictures about the featured key work in 2021. For instance, we launched several characterized activities commemorating the centenary of the founding of the Party, including the Party history stage play “Trial under Pagoda Mountain”, the special exhibition of “Fostering Virtue through Education, Serving Beijing and Cultivating Professionals for the Party and the Country”, and the revolutionary culture research and education center. Auditing was selected in the national Curriculum-based Ideological and Political Construction and the first Curriculum-based Ideological and Political Teaching Competition. We achieved a lot in discipline construction and teaching quality improvement, such as the First-class Undergraduate Major Construction, the Interdisciplinary Discipline of Big Data and Business Intelligence, the master degree Authorization program in Journalism and Communication, and the Ministry of Education Chinese-Foreign Cooperation in Running Schools. We held the first China ESG (Environmental, Social, and Government) Forum and Alumni Enterprise Development Promotion Association, and served as the Research Base on Rule of Law for Capital City Governance. In addition, we organized some activities to pay back to the society, like supporting the nucleic acid tests in Dongcheng District and Xicheng District, and volunteering for the February 7th Changxindian Memorial Hall.

With the goal of creating a high-quality yearbook with virtues of scholars, teachers, wise men, craftsmen and artists, CUEB shall continue to work hard in compiling and publishing the yearbook, laying a solid foundation for the compilation of the university’s history and making due contributions to constructing the image of CUEB in the new era.
