CUEB Party Secretary Han Xianzhou Makes Report in Teachers’ Experience Exchange Meeting on Curriculum-based Ideological and Political Construction
On March 24, to achieve an overall improvement in teaching research and curriculum-based ideological and political construction, the Academic Affairs Office organized teachers to watch the experience exchange meeting on curriculum-based ideological and political construction themed “Leading and Innovation”. At the meeting, Han Xianzhou, Party Secretary of CUEB, made a report titled "Reflections on the Focus of the Current Curriculum-based Ideological and Political Construction". Some leaders from Chaoxing Fanya Group and Tianjin University attended the meeting.
Han Xianzhou pointed out that the educational theory system of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era is the fundamental guideline for the curriculum-based ideological and political construction. To ensure the effective implementation, it is every teacher’s responsibility to accurately understand its meaning, goals, and paths so as to fully improve the course coordination. He stressed three expectations. The first is to focus on key points. Curriculum-based ideological and political construction is an important starting point to improve the “Three-Wide Education” system (which means all educational workers strive to foster students in all processes and in all respects). A new pattern of Broader Ideological and Political Education is taking shape with Ideological and political courses, curriculum-based ideological and political education, and daily ideological and political education . We should carry out the construction according to the nature of education and take the personnel education system as the starting point, so as to integrate professional knowledge and ideological and political education. The second is to strengthen the focus. We need to adhere to the personnel education system, explore the characteristics and regular pattern of curriculum-based ideological and political construction, and adhere to three basic skills to search ideological and political elements in curriculum. To this end, our educators should be educated first. The third is to enhance the focus. We should not only focus on class education, but also boost the involvement of the ideological and political construction from curriculum to major and then to the education system. And we should take the curriculum-based ideological and political construction as a lead, deepen the major-based ideological and political construction, and effectively improve personnel education.
Sun Liang, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office, Zhao Yiqing, Deputy President of the School of Accounting, and more than 40 teacher representatives from 15 teaching units of CUEB watched the meeting in Conference Room 6 of Bona Building, and more than 100 teachers attended the meeting online.
