On the morning of April 6, CUEB held a signing ceremony for the cooperation with China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Beijing Sub-council (CCPIT Beijing) at the Tianlang Hall in Boyuan Building. CCPIT Beijing Chairman Guo Huaigang, Vice Chairman Tang Haijiao and Zhang Xiufeng, and Han Xianzhou, Secretary of the Party Committee of CUEB, Wu Hui, Deputy Party Secretary, Yin Zhichao and Chen Yanbin, members of Party Standing Committee and Vice President, attended the ceremony and other related activities. The signing ceremony was presided over by Zhang Tong, Director of the Party and Government Office.

Han Xianzhou extended a warm welcome to the leaders of CCPIT Beijing and expressed heartfelt gratitude for its long-term support. He pointed out that CUEB, as one of the important universities featured in finance and economics in Beijing, has been fulfilling its duty in personnel education, research work, social services, cultural preservation and innovation, as well as the international exchanges and cooperation for the development of the capital in the new era. He emphasized that there is such a great potential for cooperation between the both sides that we should take this signing ceremony as an opportunity to launch more joint projects for greater success in education, research work, think tank construction, information exchange, contributing more to the development of the capital in the new era and the building of a stronger country in trade and education.

Guo Huaigang thanked CUEB’s endorsement for CCPIT Beijing and highly appreciated the school's merits in fostering virtues for youth through education and serving the capital. He expected the two parties to consistently conduct in-depth cooperation in terms of think tank construction, personnel education for companies and others, so as to jointly promote the high-level opening up and the high-quality development of the capital. Additionally, he stressed that we should constantly improve the cooperation mechanism and strive for more practical achievements, making more contributions to the construction of a new development paradigm and high-quality development of the international economy and trade in Beijing.

Zhang Xiufeng introduced previous cooperation between the two sides. Fan Hejun, Deputy Director of Research Office, Liu Xuexin, Dean of the College of Business Administration, Zhao Jiazhang, Deputy Dean of the School of Economics (in charge of work), and Zhang Shijun, Dean of the School of Law, made exchanges and speeches on research work, think tank construction and education.

In the end, Yin Zhichao and Tang Haijiao signed a cooperation agreement on behalf of both sides.

The comrades of related departments from CCPIT Beijing, together with comrades from the Party and Governance Office, Student Affairs Department of the Party Committee, Office of Research, College of Business Administration, the School of Economics, and the School of Law, attended the signing ceremony. Before that, visitors from CCPIT Beijing were also involved in the Achievements Exhibition themed “Fulfilling our founding mission to Foster Virtue and Serve the Capital” in the School History Museum.

Founded in 1978, CCPIT Beijing is a public service organization to promote international trade and investment in Beijing. It is an important link among Beijing Municipal Party Committee and the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, and individuals, enterprises and groups in economic and trade communities, bridging domestic and foreign business communities for economic and trade exchanges and cooperation. The organization also plays an active role in facilitating an open economy and serving for international economic and trade activities. Arguably, the signing ceremony is a new chapter for mutual cooperation. Going forward, the two sides will work towards the same goals and try to solve practical problems in a down-to-earth manner for mutual benefit. A long-term mechanism for cooperation is expected to be established in terms of think tank construction, joint-education, volunteering work, the supply and demand of personnel, etc.
