Beijing Wuzi University Visits CUEB
On May 11, Wu Hui, the Party Secretary of Beijing Wuzi University (BWU), and Zuo Min, the Deputy Party Secretary and President, led a delegation to visit CUEB. Wang Wenju, the Party Secretary of CUEB, participated in the meeting, which was hosted by Wu Weixing, the Deputy Party Secretary and President of CUEB.
During the meeting, Wang Wenju warmly welcomed the delegation from BWU and highlighted the new progress CUEB has made in disciplines, scientific research, and campus development. He emphasized the close relationship of the two universities, describing them as brother institutions with shared roots and mutual support. BWU boasts traditional strengths in areas such as logistics management and futures, contributing valuable experiences and practices to CUEB. He expressed a desire to enhance mutual exchange, support and learning, working together to make new and greater contributions to building China into a strong nation and Beijing into a model city of education.
Wu Hui appreciated the warm reception from CUEB and praised the achievements of CUEB in teaching and research, personnel cultivation, and classified development. She also introduced the new achievements of BWU in building a high-level applied university with distinctive features. Wu noted the deep friendship between the two universities and expected to further deepen cooperation through research and exchange. She suggested expanding collaboration channels, promoting communication and mutual learning among functional departments, and fostering resource sharing to achieve mutual benefits.
Wu Weixing welcomed the leaders from BWU and introduced the main initiatives CUEB had taken in recent years to promote the modernization of China’s system and capacity for governance. He pointed out that CUEB would continue to deepen the reforms of the rule of law and digital intelligence to further invigorate the school. He hoped that the two universities could work together to achieve greater progress by pursuing shared goals and addressing common challenges.
Zuo Min introduced the purpose of this visit and the future development plan and focus of BMU, speaking highly of the achievements of CUEB in recent years. He hoped that the two universities could continue to support each other, leverage each other’s strengths, and deepen practical cooperation to make new breakthroughs in promoting high-quality development.
Both sides engaged in further exchanges regarding the current status and practices in discipline construction, personnel attraction, faculty development, classified development project, and scientific research.
During the visit, Wu Hui and Zuo Min’s delegation visited the historical hall and the development exhibition in the School History Museum. They had a comprehensive understanding of CUEB’s history, educational positioning, and accomplishments, especially the outstanding achievements of CUEB in supporting national strategies and the capital’s development in the new era.
Present at the research were leaders from BWU, including Zhang Yi, Lu Xianghong, Nie Fengjie, Zhang Xufeng, Liu Dake, Yu Haijiao and Zhang Chuang, Party Committee members Liu Yanrong, Sun Jie, and leaders from CUEB including Meng Bo, Li Xiaomu, Mao Baizhan, Yao Linxiu, Li Kunpeng, Party Committee members Zhao Guang, and Fu Lin, along with heads from relevant departments and schools from both universities.
