From November 17^th to 22^nd, a CUEB delegation headed by Vice President Wang Chuansheng attended the fourth annual conference of the Association of Sino-Russian Economic Universities in Russia, and made a visit to South Ural State University and the Russian Association of Economists. More than 50 delegates from 16 Chinese and Russian universities of the Association of Sino-Russian Economic Universities attended the conference.

This annual conference was organized by South Ural State University. At the opening ceremony, the vice president of South Ural State University gave an overview of the university and its disciplinary layout. On behalf of CUEB, Wang Chuansheng made a keynote speech, stressing the significance of the Association in higher education communication and cooperation in school-runningbetween Russia and China. Wang also introduced the disciplinary layout and international strategy of CUEB, and put forward some suggestions on the future development of the Association and exchange programs for students and teachers, etc.    

During the conference, Wang Chuansheng signed a framework agreement with Alexander Shestakov, president of South Ural State University. The two sides reached consensus on research cooperation, joint training of talents, and exchange programs for teachers and students.

In the round table conference on joint-education by the Association of Sino-Russian Economic Universities at the Russian Association of Economists, the persons in charge from member universities had an in-depth discussion on issues regarding the development of the Association of Sino-Russian Economic Universities, and reached broad consensus on talent training, research cooperation, and especially the joint-education system of dual-degree. Wang Chuansheng detailed the education of international students and introduced CUEB’s policies of enrollment, degree awarding and scholarships for international students.
