CUEB Beijing Economic &Social Development Policy Research Base Selected into CTTI

On December 17th, the 2016 Conference on Chinese Think Tank Governance was held at Nanjing University. It was sponsored by Nanjing University and Guangming Daily, organized by the Center for Chinese Think Tank Studies and Evaluation (CCTTSE)of Nanjing University and the Center for Think Tank Research and Release of Guangming Daily. Its aim was to make Chinese think tank governance more updated, professional and scientific. At the conference, China's first think-tank vertical search engine and data management platform, the Chinese Think Tank Index (CTTI), was released. CUEB Beijing Economic &Social Development Policy Research Base was among the first selected into CTTI.

CUEB Professor Zhu Erjuan and Professor Ye Tanglin attended the forum. Professor Zhu made a speech at the forum. She highlighted some major achievements of the Beijing Policy Research Base since its foundation in 2007. The base, aiming at making itselfa new think tank of the capital, carried out various measures to serve national strategies, promote regional development, and improve the "three influences" (academic influence, decision-making influence and social influence). The base’s efforts was evidenced by signature think-tank achievements (5 Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Blue Books), service to government decision-making (submission of major outcome reports, approval by national and local authorities), academic exchange platforms (host of 10 Capital Circle Development Forums for 10 straight years) and service platforms (the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Big Data Research Center provided the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology with monitoring reports on the industrial synergy development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei based on enterprise big data.) Its remarkable think tank achievements were well received by university counterparts.

Present at the forum were nearly 700 experts and scholars from the central and local think tank management authorities, the first CTTI think tanks and the think tank research community.
