On November 14, CUEB hosted an online job fair for overseas returnees, creating a platform for young scholars to know more about CUEB. The event was chaired by Wang Xiaoting, Director of the Teacher Affairs Department of the Party Committee, Human Resources Department of CUEB.

Held online, the event attracted over 20 outstanding scholars from universities at home and abroad, including National University of Singapore, The University of Manchester, The University of Sydney, University of Auckland, The University of Queensland, University of Bristol, City University of Hong Kong, and Tsinghua University.

Wang Xiaoting extended a warm welcome to the young scholars. She noted that as a high-level research university in Beijing, CUEB is fully committed to talent development policies from the central government and Beijing municipal authorities, deepening reforms in talent development systems and mechanisms under its “Leading Talent Initiative” and amplifying the agglomeration effect of top-tier scholars. Wang stated that this online forum served as a digital bridge, connecting young scholars with CUEB while enabling its schools and institutes to engage directly with promising scholars, thereby fostering academic collaboration and innovation. She also outlined CUEB’s profile, recruitment benefits, and career-development opportunities.

The participating young scholars then engaged in in-depth group discussions with deans and professor representatives from various schools and research institutes, focusing on topics such as cutting-edge research, team development, research platforms, and career advancement, seeking shared progress.

This event marked CUEB’s first specialized forum for scholars returning from overseas. It represents a key initiative in line with CUEB’s strategic vision to help establish Beijing as a premier hub for top-tier personnel. Moving forward, CUEB will leverage this opportunity to further expand its global recruitment network, upgrade the online-offline integration mechanism, efficiently build an interactive platform between young scholars and the university, thus providing solid professional support for constructing a first-class research university with global recognition in finance and economics.

The event was attended by senior representatives from CUEB’s schools and institutes, including Ma Baobin, Deputy Party Secretary and Dean of the School of Urban Economics and Public Administration; Yu Peng, Deputy Party Secretary and Dean of the School of Accounting; Zhou Kaiguo, Dean of the School of Finance; Li Xiao’ou, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Artificial Intelligence; Li Ping, Executive Deputy Dean of Institute of Beijing Digital Economy Development; Wang Kai, Deputy Dean of the School of Business Administration; Zhang Dongyang, Deputy Director of the Personnel Office of CUEB, and other professors from relevant schools and research institutes.
