On the morning of November 8, the School of Law held the unveiling ceremony of the Teaching and Research Innovation Office for Young Teachers in Beijing Universities in Room 406 of Boyuan Building. Attendees included Xu Fang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Labor Union, Fu Lin, Minister of the Party Committee Publicity Department, Jiang Wei, Executive Deputy Chairman of CUEB Labor Union, Sun Liang, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office, Zhang Shijun, Dean of the School of Law, Sun Mingchun, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee, Yin Shaocheng, Deputy Dean of the School of Law, Li Luling, Chairman of the School of Law Union, Lan Yanzhuo, head of the Office, and some young teachers. The ceremony was presided over by Yin Shaocheng.

Yin Shaocheng gave a brief introduction to the background. The Office was jointly awarded by Beijing Municipal Education Working Committee, Beijing Municipal Education Commission, and Beijing Education Trade Union. Lan Yanzhuo, Associate Professor of the School of Law, who once won the first prize in the 12th Young Teachers Teaching Skills Competition (YTTSC), became the head of the Center. This was the first time that CUEB won this honor to establish this Office.

Lan extended gratitude to the support of CUEB and the School of Law. She introduced teaching and research achievements, relevant activities, and developmentplans. At present, the Office has developed a relatively stable team and continuously invited discipline leaders and young teachers to discuss key issues. Finally, Lan expressed confidence in building the Office well.

Zhang Shijun also expressed sincere gratitude to Beijing municipal government and CUEB leaders for their support. Taking Beijing distinguished teachers as an example, Zhang introduced present School faculty, demonstrating the remarkable achievements in teaching and researchand personnel training in recent years. Zhang said that the School would fully support the future development of the Office.

Xu Fang conveyed congratulations to the Office and the School’s excellent achievements. Xu recognized the Labor Union’s unique contribution to young teachers’ development and personnel training by organizing activities like YTTSC. Xu hoped for continuous innovation and greater achievements of the Labor Union. Thanks to the united Party and government leadership team and the solid working foundation, the leading role of the Office and the higher-quality development of the School were promising.

After the ceremony, Lan shared her teaching experience, and then young teachers held an in-depth discussion accordingly.
