On May 13^th, Professor Ciarán Ó Catháin, president of Athlone Institute of Technology (AIT), and Zhang Jing, director of AIT International Department of Asian Region, visited CUEB and renewed the inter-university MOU.

CUEB Party Secretary Ke Wenjin met with the AIT delegation before the signing ceremony， which was hosted by CUEB President Wang Jiaqiong.

CUEB Vice President Xu Fang mentioned that the leaders of the two universities have exchanged visits and ideas many times and President Ciarán Ó Catháin was invited to deliver lectures for CUEB MBA students. She also said that by the end of 2015, around 70 undergraduates from CUEB School of Labor Economics have been to AIT on exchange, which has delivered fruitful results. Xu pointed out that CUEB will promote the cooperation between AIT and more CUEB schools with innovative cooperation models in expanded fields and CUEB welcomes visits from AIT faculty and students.

President Ciarán Ó Catháin expressed gratitude for CUEB’s reception. He said, "The cooperation between AIT and Chinese universities has been increasing in recent years, among which CUEB is an old and close friend." He also mentioned that the AIT delegation of faculty and students were warmly received and deeply impressed during the short visit to CUEB School of Labor Economics this March. He hoped to deepen and expand the bilateral cooperation and strengthen the academic and research communication in accounting, computer information technology, labor economics and so forth.
