CUEB Holds Founding Ceremony for New Academic Committee
On June 3, the founding ceremony for the new Academic Committee was held. Attendees included Wang Wenju, Secretary of the CUEB Party Committee, President Wu Weixing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and members of the new Academic Committee. The ceremony was presided over by Vice President Yin Zhichao, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee.
Wang Wenju announced the new committee members and extended congratulations. Following the vote, Yang Chunxue and Yin Zhichao were elected as the committee’s director and deputy director, respectively. The ceremony also reviewed and approved the Academic Ethics Committee members. Wu presented appointment letters to each committee member, acknowledged the contributions of previous members, and put forward expectations for the new members.
At the ceremony, Yin Zhichao detailed the background of the committee’s founding and emphasized its important role in promoting CUEB’s academic development, maintaining academic integrity and fostering innovation.
Yang Chunxue, the newly elected director, encouraged committee members to continue leading in academic endeavors while striving to expand academic resources and influence. Yin Zhichao congratulated the establishment of the committee. He said that as CUEB’s highest academic institution, the committee plays an important role in promoting research efforts. The committee was expected to play a greater role in developing CUEB into a high-level research university.
After the ceremony, Yang Chunxue presided over the first plenary meeting of the new committee.
