ZISU Delegation Led by Xuan Yong Visits CUEB

On May 8th, a five-member delegation led by Xuan Yong, Party Secretary of Zhejiang International Studies University (ZISU), and Hong Gang, President of the university visited CUEB. Feng Pei, Party Secretary of CUEB, received the delegation and presided over the meeting, which focused on the international approach to education and the development of the College of Overseas Chinese. 

In his speech, Feng introduced CUEB’s history, the mechanism of the College of Overseas Chinese and outlook of CUEB’s globally-oriented education. He also wished that the two universities could work more closely together with what we have to offer each other in a bid to obtain new achievement in all kinds of fields.  

Xie Haixia, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchanges Office, gave a detailed introduction to international exchange programs for both teachers and students in CUEB. She also let know the students’ participation in international competition and the information on international students and teachers.

 

Then, Xuan Yong briefed the situation of ZISU, noting that the university could better its education by resorting to the overseas Chinese as Zhejiang is a renowned home of those living abroad. This meeting, as Xuan added, enabled them to seek new ways in nurturing students and he hoped that both sides could communicate more in a way to boost the two universities’ development.

 

Afterwards, Xuan Yong and his team had a tour of the university history museum and the Overseas Chinese College to know more about CUEB’s history and the school’s situation. Also attended the meeting were Zhao Guang, Director of the Party and Government Office, Jiao Yong, Party Secretary of theOverseas Chinese College and Xu Lianchun and Chen Honghai, vice Dean of the Overseas Chinese College.
