The world-famous celebration and gala marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) have been successfully concluded. Over a thousand teachers and students of CUEB attended the mass pageantry, square gala and volunteer services. They successfully completed their tasks with high-quality and created a regretless youth memory while forging ahead with our motherland.

Mass pageantry: illustrating “remaining true to our original aspiration” in-depth.

A total of 412 teachers and students (including backups) took part in the training of civilian parade named “remaining true to our original aspiration” formations. Since they started training at the end of July, they have experienced 6 intra-school trainings, 8 joint trainings in Fengtai District, 6 practices to Liangxiang Airport and Changping Military Parade Village respectively and 3 joint rehearsals in Chang'an Avenue. Some of them went to Chaoyang Sport Center to attend the joint training with floats. Rushing in different areas, they showed the spirit of “remaining true to our original aspiration” in a state of unity and unremitting struggles, fearing no scorching sun. They also won “the Best Team” mobile red flag for “Splendid 70” in the inspection and competition organized by No. 4 Sub-Command headquarter.

Grand evening gala: displaying the relationship between the country and the people as close as that between fish and water.

Grand evening gala was held on Tian'anmen Square to celebrate the 70th anniversary of founding of the PRC. During the gala, performance delivered by 196 teachers and students in CUEB were successfully completed. They showed the world a new generation with loud slogans, high morale and full enthusiasm. They had an 80-day training and 17 assemblies. Braving high temperature and heavy rain, they concentrated on the training, paying tribute to youth in the great journey of our motherland. All teachers and students had the same goal and never slack off through the dance learning in school and integrated training in district. In the event, teachers and students in CUEB participated in the performance of all four chapters and received many praises from the school leaders, district leaders, director crew and coach teams.

Volunteer services: making no mistake in 16 posts.

The volunteer service group, established in June to celebrate the 70th anniversary, was comprised of 409 teachers and students in CUEB. Our volunteers were divided into 1 brigade, 1 squadron and 16 squads required by the headquarters. In task allocation, they were in charge of 16 posts in 4 categories of the evacuation group of the peripheral security sub-division. The posts were in Taijichang Hutong, Zhengyi Road, Dahua Road, Chongwenmen Inner Street, the west side in News Building, Youtong Street and Beijing Station Street. The volunteers in CUEB, remaining the largest in number, the most abundant in stations and the most extensive in field, were in charge of the register, route guidance, order in the subway gate and security checkpoints. 

The volunteers have successfully completed the tasks in National Day after 11932 training hours and 22104 joint rehearsal hours. They were praised by employers and headquarters.

As President Xi said, striving for goals makes one’s youth colorful. Teachers and students in CUEB who attended the mission created a great memory in their youth. Facing with bright future, all CUEBers, uniting together and continuing to work hard, can add more color to their youth in the service of the country, the people, the nation and even all the humankind.
