Three Teachers of CUEB Won the Beijing Distinguished Teacher Prize in Higher Education in 2019
Recently, Beijing Municipal Education Commission released the Announcement of Winners List of the 15th Beijing Distinguished Teacher Award and the 3rd Beijing Distinguished Young Teacher Award in Higher Education. After university nomination, candidates went through on-site teaching review, experts panel evaluation and expert committee ballot to make the winning list, which was made public after verification by Beijing Municipal Education Commission, Li Baixing won the 15th Beijing Distinguished Teacher Award in Higher Education, Fan Hejun and Zhan Jing won the Beijing Distinguished Young Teacher Award in Higher Education.

The Announcement encourages universities and colleges to build a strong faculty and improve incentives & disincentives tailored for the teaching faculty. The winning teachers are also expected to serve as role models encouraging the devotion of teachers at all levels and of different subjects to education and talent nurturing in general. Individual and collective teaching capacity is sure to be boosted as a result.
Introduction to Li Baixing
Li Baixing, male, professor and doctoral advisor. He graduated from CUEB in July 2000 with a master degree of Accounting and has been working there ever since. After in-service study in Renmin University of China, he obtained a doctorate degree of Accounting. Since the beginning of his career, he has been the Director of the Accounting Principle Department, the Director of the International Accounting Department, Deputy President of the School of Accounting. Now, he is the President of Overseas Chinese College.
Since the day of his teaching career, Li Baixing has been committed to the teaching of undergraduates, giving lessons to as many as 10 courses. He has presided over more than 10 National Social Science Fund projects and other projects, publishing more than 40 academic papers. Now he is a national leader in the field of Accounting, as well as a member of the Accounting History Section of Chinese Accounting Society, the Executive Director of the Accounting Society for Foreign Economic Relations & Trade of China, and a member of the Teaching Cooperation Committee of the Accounting Specialty Group of Beijing Higher Education. In 2018, he was awarded "National Leading Accounting Talent" by the Ministry of Finance.
Introduction to Fan Hejun
Fan Hejun, male, PhD, professor, doctoral advisor, chief expert of Beijing Outstanding Talent Youth Top Team, the winner of Beijing Outstanding Doctoral Thesis, the winner of Beijing University Outstanding Young Talent Award. Since 2008, he has been engaged in teaching and research in higher education. He is currently the Vice President of the College of Business Administration.
He is mainly engaged in teaching and research of business management, publishing three academic works, such as Language Effect in Corporate Governance, as editor-in-chief in publication of the textbook Industrial Organization Theory. He presided over 5 projects at national and provincial and ministerial levels, including projects funded by the National Social Science Fund. In the Personnel Review, China Industrial Economics and other domestic and foreign journals, he published more than 70 papers. He has won 5 prizes at provincial and ministerial levels, including the first prize for 14th Session of Outstanding Achievements in Philosophy and Social Sciences in Beijing, the first prize for Teaching Achievements in Higher Education in Beijing, and the third prize for 6 Session of Outstanding Achievements in Scientific Research of Higher Education released by Ministry of Education.
Introduction to Zhan Jing
Zhan Jing, female, PhD, associate professor, graduate advisor, Executive Director of Labor Relations Branch of Human Resources Development of China, and Deputy Director of Labor Relations Department in School of Labor Economics. She is mainly engaged in labor relations, labor skills formation, labor dispute prevention and other issues, teaching courses including “Labor Relations”, “Management of Employee Relations”, “Cases & Experience in Management of Enterprise Labor Relations”.
In recent years, she has undertaken nearly 20 research projects of various kinds, including one project of the National Social Science Fund, one project of the Humanities and Social Sciences Project in Ministry of Education, 2 Major National Social Science projects, 1 National Social Science Youth Project, 1 Beijing Natural Science Fund Project. She has published more than 30 high-quality academic papers in high-level journals like Chinese Journal of Population Science, Labor Economic Review, Population & Economics, and contributed to 12 academic works and textbooks.
