Recently, it was learned from the China Law Society that the periodic achievement of  the major project of the CUEB Mega City Research Institute To ensure the Capital’s Strategic Position by Legal Means hosted by Zhang Shijun, the Dean of CUEB School of Law was edited and submitted, thanks to its great vale for decision-making, to Wang Chen, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China(CPC) Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress and President of the China Law Society, on 18^th April, 2020. Then it was published in Key Reports, founded by China Law Society, with the title of Suggestions on Making the Capital Law in the issue 16, 2020. It was submitted to the relevant departments of the Central Committee for decision-making reference.

Professor Zhang Shijun, as a Party member and teacher, has been working hard in teaching and scientific research, actively disseminating advanced theories and advocating taking root in the capital and making suggestions for the development of Beijing. He wrote some decision consultant reports that were selected as high-level internal references such as “Key Reports of the National Social Science Fund of China”, “Key Reports of the Beijing Social Science Fund of China” and “Key Reports of the Capital High-level Tanks”. Besides, as the law expert appointed by the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, he participated in the drafting and demonstrating of nearly 20 local laws.

Zhang Shjjun, as the Dean of the School of Law, Professor and Doctoral Advisor, Director of the Center for Commercial Law Studies, devotes himself to the research of Civil and Commercial Law, Economic Law, Cultural Legal System. He concurrently serves as the member of the Legislative Expert Committee of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, Deputy President of Beijing Bankruptcy Law Research Association. He was also awarded as the Capital Top 10 Outstanding Young Jurists (Nomination Award), Excellent Researcher of the Beijing Research Center of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and Young Talent of Association of China Law Society.
