On October 13^nd, with the completion of the concrete pouring of the last cubic meter, No. 6 Student Apartment officially completed the sealing of roof structure.

The successful top sealing of No. 6 Student Apartment as planned is an important node of this project. In the early stage of the outbreak of the COVID-19, the project faced various difficulties. For example, workers were hard to return to Beijing, and the time to resume work was delayed. In order to ensure the project completed on time, the Office of Construction actively communicated and coordinated with relevant departments, construction units, and supervision units. Under the premise of meeting the epidemic prevention requirements of Beijing and CUEB, the construction was officially resumed on April 10^th.

In order to offset the delayed schedule, the Office of Construction actively coordinated with all parties involved in the construction, urged them to set up a schedule in a reversed order from the end date to the beginning of the project and formulate a thorough and reasonable plan. When the flood season came, the Office of Construction supervised the construction unit to formulate emergency plans for flood control and arranged the rescue supplies, so as to minimize the adverse impact on the construction. After the start of the new school year, the Office of Construction actively took relevant measures to reduce the adverse impact of construction on teachers and students, and strengthen construction site management in a reasonable and scientific manner. After more than 6 months of joint efforts, the roof structure of No. 6 Student Apartment was completed on time with guaranteed quality and quantity, which also marked the transfer of the project to the secondary structures such as wall masonry, and the decoration stage.

The No. 6 Student Apartment is expected to be completed in April 2021 and officially put into use in September.
