On December 11^th, the opening ceremony of Double Eleven Culturalized Food Day and the theme activity of “Dinning with Courtesy and Gratitude”, jointly launched by China Communist Youth League Beijing Committee, Beijing Students Federation, Capital Civilizational Development Foundation, Civilization Periodical Office, Fresh Radio, and Bilibili, was kicked off in Press Conference Hall in the Boyuan Building. Li Junhui, Secretary of Beijing Communist Youth League Committee, Sun Haozhe, Vice President of CUEB, Lou Xiaoqi, Proprieter of Civilization , Li Qiufu, President of Beijing Students Federation, Liu Bingquan, Department of Technical Secondary School in Beijing Youth League Committee University, Wang Xin, Ya Xin, Directors of Department of Public Affairs in Bilibili attended the meeting.

At the opening ceremony, students from College Preschool Education, Capital Normal University sang a new song “Commiserating with the Farmers” to kick off the activity. The universities who attended the TV Show Back to School, such as Tsinghua University, Beihang University and Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, went to stage to receive awards and jointly unveiled the mystery of the short video entitled as “Dinning with Courtesy and Gratitude” recorded by collegiate students in Beijing.

Lou Xiaoqi made a special interpretation of the event, and students representatives form universities in Beijing jointly issued an initiative of “Double Eleven Culturalized Food Day”. At the end of the activity, Li Junhui, Sun Haozhe, Lou Xiaoqi as well as other five initiators jointly sprinkled the sand symbolizing “seeds”, which present the theme of this activity, namely: gratitude, appreciation, health, diligence and frugality.

At present, hygiene and food-saving are international consensus to constitute a community with shared future for mankind and promote the progress of world civilization. China is in the final push to build a moderately prosperous society in all aspects and achieve the target of poverty eradication. As the youth in the contemporary capital, it is our sacred responsibility and mission to cultivate an environmentally-friendly lifestyle with a civilized, healthy and green way, be frugal and save food, have the sense of ownership to city construction and firmly hold the “Chinese Bowl”. In the future, CUEB Youth League Committee will continue to practice “Clean Plate” Campaign and make contributions to advocating the catering culture in the new era and to building a beautiful China.
