President Fu Zhifeng Delivered Keynote Speech at 11th Presidents Forum of China’s Higher Education in Finance and Economics

On November 27th, the 11th Presidents Forum of China’s Higher Education in Finance and Economics was held at Guangxi University of Finance and Economics, bringing together nearly 300 guests, including presidents of more than 70 colleges and universities and financial experts, to jointly explore the “New Opportunities, New Challenges, New Mission” of higher education in finance and economics. The forum is organized by the Higher Financial & Economic Education Branch of China Higher Education Association and sponsored by Guangxi University of Finance and Economics. Fu Zhifeng, President of CUEB was invited to attend and deliver a keynote speech.

The theme of forum is “Great Changes in China’s Financial and Economic Education: New Opportunities, New Challenges and New Missions”. The keynote speeches were delivered by Fan Liming, President of the Shandong University; Xia Wenbin, President of the University of International Business and Economics; Zhuo Zhi, President of the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics; Fu Zhifeng, President of the Capital University of Economics and Business; and Zhao Lisheng, President of the Shanxi Finance &Taxation College.

 

In the keynote speech, entitled “Thoughts on the Development of Disciplines and Majors in Colleges and Universities of Finance and Economics”, Fu Zhifeng made a thorough analysis of the bottlenecks and deficiencies in the construction of disciplines and majors in colleges and universities of finance and economics. He put forward some new ideas and directions for future development, sharing the exploration and experience of the education and teaching reform in CUEB in recent years.

Focusing on the theme of the Forum, experts and leaders from various colleges and universities of finance and economics actively explored methods, shared ideas and exchanged experiences in personnel training, discipline construction, professional development, “New Liberal Arts” construction and many other aspects, so as to develop China’s higher education in finance and economics.

 

Wu Qifu, the Director of Development Planning Division and Ren Jiyuan, teacher in Development Planning Division also participated in the forum.
