On November 25^th, CUEB Party Secretary Han Xianzhou with his delegation visited the Beijing Key Laboratory of Megaregions Sustainable Development Simulation for research on its operation and development. Duan Xia, Director of the key laboratory, Deputy Director An Shuwei and some laboratory teachers participated in this investigation.

Duan Xia introduced the origin, development plans and main features of the laboratory based on the laboratory layout and the construction of software and hardware. She focused on introducing and demonstrating the laboratory’s exploration of teaching and scientific research innovation in urban big data. An Shuwei reported the laboratory’s target positioning, research direction, team building, new development achievements in recent years, as well as the laboratory’s research results and innovations in database construction and the use of multiple data to serve the capital Beijing. Associate Professor Miao Mingyue introduced the laboratory’s exploration and achievements in intelligent transportation and transportation big data utilization in combination with the cooperation between the laboratory and related platforms such as Didi Chuxing. Dr. Zhang Bo introduced the construction and update of the laboratory database, as well as the use of commercial land rent and other data to support Beijing’s industrial layout and monitoring research. The research results directly served Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform and other relevant government departments and had a positive impact.

Han Xianzhou paid great attention to the application of the laboratory to serve Beijing. He exchanged views with relevant teachers and inquired about the situation, expressing great expectations for the future development of the laboratory.

Zhao Guang, Director of the Organization Office of CUEB and Dean of Office of Party and Governance Affairs, also participated in the investigation.
