The list of Highly Cited Chinese Researchers 2020 involves 84 primary disciplines in 10 fields issued by the Ministry of Education, with a total of 4023 Chinese scholars being selected. The list is a systematic analysis of the influence of Chinese scholars around the world based on objective citation data from Elsevier's Scopus. The database is the largest peer-reviewed academic papers’ index and abstract database in the world, providing much information of documents, authors and research institutions related to research activities.

“Highly Cited Chinese Researchers” has identified researchers in Mainland China, whose publications are frequently cited by their peers as the first author or corresponding author. Being named to the list means that the researcher has demonstrated exceptional influence around the world and has made great contributions to the field. Wang Yonggui's selection into the list (Business Administration) is not only a full affirmation of his personal research, but also a full affirmation of CUEB disciplines and research in Business Administration, actively promoting the high-quality of Business Administration in CUEB and expanding its influence at home and abroad.
