CUEB Blue Book of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region Wins 1st Prize of “Excellent Almanac Award”

On September 24, the 22nd National Almanac Annual Meeting (2021) was held in Guangzhou, Guangdong. Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Development Report (2020): Study on Regional Governance won the first prize of the 12th “Excellent Almanac Award” and the Report on Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Collaborative Industrial Governance won the 2nd prize of the 12th “Excellent Almanac Report Award”.

 

 

 

The meeting was held by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and jointly organized by the Social Science Academic Press (China). A total of 416 books and 815 reports were selected and evaluated by the Sixth Academic Committee of the Almanac. After initial evaluation, re-evaluation, qualification examination and other links, 51 books won the prize of the 12th “Excellent Almanac Award” including 12 first prizes,and 63 reports won the “Excellent Almanac Report Award”. Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Development Report (2020): ‘Study on Regional Governance’ won the first prize of the 12th “Excellent Almanac Award” and the Report on Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Collaborative Industrial Governance won the 2nd prize of the 12th “Excellent Almanac Report Award”. At the same time, Professor Ye Tanglin, Executive Deputy Dean of the Mega-city Economic and Social Development Research Institute attended the 3rd Plenary Session of the 1st Pishu Institute Board and delivered a speech as senior researcher of the Social Science Academic Press Pishu Institute.

 

 

 

The 22th National Almanac Annual Meeting (2021) was sponsored by CASS and jointly organized by Social Sciences Academic Press (China) and Guangzhou Academy of Social Sciences. With the theme of “New Tasks and Goals for the Development of Almanacs in the New Journey to Build a Modern Socialist Country”, the meeting covered several areas of interest, such as the role of almanac in economic and social development, state governance and think tank construction. Zhao Qi, Secretary-General of the Chinese Academic of Social Sciences and a member of the Party Leadership Group, Li Yiwei, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Guangzhou Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Guo Yuewen, Party Secretary of the Guangdong Academy of Social Science, Wang Limin, President of Social Sciences Academic Press (China), and Zhang Yueguo, Party Secretary and Dean of the Guangzhou Academy of Social Science, attended the meeting and made speeches. Gao Peiyong, Deputy Dean of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Party Secretary of the University of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and Li Peilin, a member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Vice Chairman of the National People’s Congress of the People ‘s Republic of China and Academy Board Meeting’s member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, made academic reports. The presiding officer of the opening ceremony Cui Jianmin, Director of the Bureau of Scientific Research Management of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

 

 

 

More than 400 people attended the meeting,including leaders from relevant institutions of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, local Academics of Social Sciences, universities, scientific research institutes, social think tanks and other institutions, as well as Deputies of National Almanac research teams, experts in related fields, and media representatives. They discussed how the Almanac can further exert its function and value in the new era. In the subsequent six sub-forums, with the topics of “Economic Development and the Almanac’s Research and Innovation in the New Era”, “Think-Tank Action in Healthy China and Green Development” and “Urban Development and Almanac Book’s Research and Innovation during the 14th Five-Year Plan”, people had in depth discussions. Ye Tanglin participated in the Parallel Forum themed on “Economic Development and Almanac Research and Innovation in the New Era” and gave a keynote speech based on “Reflection on the 10th Anniversary of the Blue Book of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region: Research and Innovation”.
