To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, to act on the spirit of President Xi Jinping’s important speech on “Seven-one Party Festival” and to develop the study and education of Party history, from September 26th to 30th, CUEB organized thousands of teacher and student representatives to visit Museum of Party History for an exhibition with the theme “Staying True to the Founding Mission: History Exhibition of the Communist Party of China”. It was a great opportunity to deepen our understanding of the great spirit of the founding of the CPC, feel the power of ideas, and draw on the strength for striving represented in the exhibition. Party Committee Organization Department, Party Committee Publicity Department and Party Committee Office of Student Affairs organized CUEB cadres and teachers of division level, student Party Branch secretary, Party member representatives of teachers and students, Party representatives of retiree and student representatives to attend this visit.

The majestic museum that charts Party history stands proudly and magnificently. The museum has exhibitions highlighting important events throughout the hundred-year development process; there are exhibitions from the scene of restoration of the First National People’s Congress to the video recordings of the founding ceremony, from the pictures of establishing special economic zones to the graphs of poverty alleviation, etc. Teachers and students from CUEB visited four exhibitions in sequence, which are about “founding the Communist Party of China, securing great victory in the new-democratic revolution” ,“founding the People’s Republic of China, carry on the socialist revolution and establishment”, “reform and opening up, develop socialism with Chinese characteristics” and “usher the socialism with Chinese characteristics into a new era, building a moderately prosperous society in all aspects, embark on a new journey to fully build a modern socialist country”.

The Museum of the CPC documents a systematic and visualized Party development process, demonstrating the spirit of the Party, which represents the best practical lecture and vivid textbooks on Party history. During the visit, everyone saw different precious cultural relics, detailed documentary materials and vivid pictures, watched videos and scene restoration and shared different views. Through these, they had a deeper understanding of Party history, a history of restless struggle, bravery in sacrifice, theory exploration, delivering benefits to people and self-construction. In addition, they had a better understanding of the magnificent hundred-year history of the Party, constantly inspiring waves of power to realize the goal of national rejuvenation.

The glorious Party history is the best nutrient and the most convincing textbook. While walking in the exhibition hall, teachers and students are traveling through history. They mentioned that every historical fact and relic shows the hardships and great achievements of the CPC’s hundred-year striving, especially the scene of the restoration of the First National People’s Congress, the display board of the revolutionary base, video recordings of the founding ceremony, pictures of the establishment of special economic zones and graphs of poverty alleviation, etc. All of this help everyone review the magnificent hundred-year history of the Party. It brings a profound understanding that the revolutionary political power, New China and the socialism with Chinese characteristics are hard-earned. It also helped people to recognize the reason why the CPC can save China, why Marxism can help China and why socialism with Chinese characteristics are suitable in China. It is unanimous among CUEB visitors that we will continue to stay true to our ideals and convictions, and study and implement the Party’s innovative theories. They will pass forward the revolutionary spirit stronger, and gather strength from the history of striving in the Party. Under the Party’s leadership, we should adhere to the fundamental mission of cultivating talent for the Party and the State, cultivate high-qualified, applicable and innovative talents with all-round ability in areas including intelligence, physical fitness, work and aesthetics. We will forge ahead towards the goal of building a modern, multidisciplinary, internationally renowned and domestic first-class university of economics and business in China.

Teachers and students present in this activity all said that this visit offered a great opportunity to reconnect them with the splendid hundred-year history of CPC members who overcame numerous difficulties. In addition, it was also an impressive, lively and profound education on the Party’s history.
