On the afternoon of January 10, the office of CUEB epidemic prevention and control leading group held a meeting to identify the campus’s situation of epidemic prevention and control after the epidemic cases reported in Tianjin and to deploy relevant security measures. Vice President Sun Haozhe, members of the office of CUEB epidemic prevention and control leading group, directors of all departments and relevant personnel attended the meeting. Sun Haozhe delivered a speech.

In the speech, Sun pointed out that facing the complex and ever-changing situation, we must fully and faithfully implement the instructions from superior departments to locate and manage people related to any reported epidemic case. It’s necessary to judge the situation in advance, deploy carefully, fulfill responsibilities at all levels and implement measures in a more comprehensive way. We must know exactly the health conditions and travel records of teachers and students, and guarantee the services for students staying at school during winter breaks. Besides, we need to strengthen coordination with localities and departments to ensure services for the volunteer stations.

This meeting conveyed the spirits of the emergency meeting for disposing the epidemic prevention and control of Beijing education system on January 9. It also briefed the recent situation of the domestic epidemic, the services for the Winter Olympics and requirements for epidemic prevention and control of Beijing education system. The meeting emphasized that we must implement tailored management on campus in a severe or strict manner. All universities should also strengthen emergency duty and plan ahead for the return of students in the spring semester to resolutely maintain campus security and stability.

The participating departments reported respectively on the progress of epidemic prevention and control during the winter breaks and the work plan for the next phase.
