CUEB Signs Paired Cooperation Agreement on Education with Inner Mongolia Minzu University

To implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important remarks and instructions about work in Inner Mongolia, to carry out work deployment in Beijing for effectively aligning poverty alleviation achievements with rural revitalization, as well as to bolster high-quality development of education in the assisted regions, CUEB has approached a paired cooperation agreement on education with Inner Mongolia Minzu University, also known as Inner Mongolia University For Nationalities (IMUN). In the next four years, our university will help IMUN in three aspects, namely, contractual programs for students, discipline construction and teachers’ professional development. Fu Zhifeng, President of CUEB, and Zhao Donghai, President of IMUN, signed the agreement on behalf of two sides.

 

 

The program was set according to the Framework Agreement on Beijing-Inner Mongolia Education Cooperation (2021-2025) signed by Beijing Municipal Education Commission and the Education Department of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Meanwhile, it was included in Beijing education assistance cooperation programs.

 

In the first half of 2021, with the help of Office of Cooperation Affairs of CUEB, the heads of the School of Economics of IMUN, have communicated with Wang Jun and Zhao Jiazhang, President and Vice President of the School of Economy of CUEB about discipline assistance and students exchange programs. On December 15th, Fu Zhifeng and Ding Lihong, Vice President of CUEB, held Work Meeting on education assistance and cooperation. Heads from the Office of Party and Governance Affairs, Office of Student Affairs, Academic Affairs Office, Personnel Office, Office of Logistics Services, Office of Cooperation Affairs and the School of Economy discussed the assistance and made plans accordingly.

 

Each year from now to August 2025, CUEB will accept 5 students selected by IMUN and provide them opportunities to study in the major of Economics or the International Economy and Trade with junior students. CUEB shall also accept 2 teachers to study in CUEB every year and promote education communication and cooperation in terms of discipline development, teaching and research promotion, platform and virtual room construction, as well as teaching demonstration. Through above activities, we can exert leading and exemplary role of Beijing with great education resources to promote high-quality progress of education in the aided regions
