At the beginning of the New Year when the pandemic is rebounding, CUEB cares a lot for the health of the faculty. As home for the faculty, CUEB Labor Union, in cooperation with the Office of Party and Governance Affairs and Party Committee Organization Department, coordinated special funds to give timely care to the front-line faculty members of the pandemic prevention and control in the University Hospital, Office of Logistics Services, Career Planning Center and Property Management Department, and distributed 400 care packages, which was warmly received.

The Labor Union also launched warmth sending activities for New Year’s Day and the upcoming Spring Festival, working on the relief of major illnesses and inpatient medical care, hospitalization allowance, special illnesses of female members and major diseases as well as other mutual insurance claims for the faculty. The Labor Union paid timely visits to sick faculty members at their homes or workplaces. Altogether, the total care expenditure amounts to more than 300,000 yuan with 120 times of insurance claims, and 186,127.10 yuan of claims in the whole year.

The Labor Union gave greetings via telephone and mailed care packages to 6 advanced workers at the beginning of the New Year, and will also issue special subsidies for municipal model workers before the Spring Festival to make them feel the warmth of the Union. Most teachers have been retired for many years, and they were excited about the excellent tradition and initiatives of CUEB to respect and care for the elderly.

With the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 around the corner, a good many CUEB faculty members participated in the preparatory work for the Winter Olympics, with many hours of hard work. The Labor Union gave timely care to 45 faculty members serving Winter Olympics on site, which once again bolstered the enthusiasm of the members and passed on the warmth in the cold winter, helping our school to complete the preparations for the Winter Olympics.

The timely care and attentive service of the Labor Union won great appreciation from all faculty. They all felt that they gained extra warmth, peace of mind and security during the cold winter and the repeating pandemic. In recent years, the Labor Union has always taken the “Warm Heart Project” as an important task. In the new year, the “Warm Heart Project” will be further refined to meet the new needs of the faculty in the new era. Therefore, CUEB will become warmer and the faculty will obtain more sense of achievement and happiness.
