On the afternoon of June 2, CUEB held the regular meeting for directors from party organization of secondary schools on line. CUEB Party Secretary Han Xianzhou presided over the meeting and delivered a speech. CUEB Deputy Party Secretary, Xu Fang, Wu Hui and the Secretary of Commission for Discipline Inspection of CUEB Chen Caiqun attended the meeting.

Han Xianzhou conveyed the recent requirements from superiors for epidemic prevention and control to ensure safety and stability, and emphasized four key tasks:

First, we should fully recognize the situation, strictly implement the epidemic prevention and control policy. Taking the complexity of the current pandemics into serious consideration, we need to resolutely overcome paralysis and strictly implement campus closure management to ensure security and stability at this crucial moment, and safeguard our ideological position.

Second, clearly specify our main responsibilities, and take actions promptly. Directors from Party Organization of Secondary Schools must perform our duties, fully understand the powerful advantages of the Party's organizational system to give full play to the role of primary-level organizations as fighting bastions and exemplary vanguard role of party members. We should adjust working methods in accordance to realities, and explore new ways to carry out ideological and political work at home office and online office.

Third, strengthen guidance on ideological and political education for teachers and students. In order to help teachers and students correctly understand the current epidemic situation, we should go deep into the front line for a better understanding of their actual concerns and then give them necessary care and help in a timely fashion.

Fourth, make a through plan for the final exams in advance. Relevant departments and schools should address issues that concern the students most, such as study, graduation and employment, so as to warm their hearts, gather their strengths and motivate their minds.

Zhang Tong, Director of the Party and Government Office and Director of the Inspection Office of the Party Committee notified the inspection and rectification work and then deployed recent plan for epidemic prevention and control. Fu Lin, Administrative Vice Minister of the Department of Publicity in the school’s Party Committee, informed recent work in publicity and ideology, and then assigned new tasks in this respect. Wang Jinbao, Minister of the Student Affairs Department of the Party Committee, informed employment-related work and deployed work in the next step.

Xing Qi, Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Head of Commission for Discipline Inspection, directors from Party organizations of secondary schools, and directors from functional departments attended the meeting.
