Communist Youth League Committee Launches Training Camp for New CUEBers
To further consolidate the construction of the grassroots Communist Youth League (CYL) organizations of CUEB and improve the organizing, planning and working competencies of new CYL cadres, the CUEB CYL Committee launched training camp for all new League branch secretaries and commissaries in charge of organization in mid-November. This 12-class-hour training camp included theoretical learning, live teaching, sharing and discussion, and were held both online and offline at different teaching venues. More than 300 persons participated in this training camp.
At 13:30 on November 16, Guo Ying, Director of the Organization Division of CUEB CYL Committee, delivered the first training course in the main venue, the 7th conference room on the 5th floor of Bona Building, with the branch venue and online meeting running simultaneously. Guo led the students to interpret the basic knowledge of CYL affairs, and explained the detailed implementing rules of the “Three Meetings, Two Systems and One Course” (the general meeting of the Party branch, Party branch committees, Communist Youth League group meeting, Communist Youth League member education and evaluation system, Communist Youth League member annual membership registration system and Communist Youth League course), the regulations of the CYL branches, and the recruitment process and norms of League members.
At 15:20 on November 16, the planning of CYL workshop day was held simultaneously in Conference Room 7 on the 5th floor of Bona Building and Cultural Activity Center. First, the host organized an ice-breaking game, which enlivened the atmosphere and enhanced the communication between the new League branch secretaries. In the workshop, the host explained the design of the workshop day and shared cases for the League branch secretaries to learn. Then, the League branch secretaries were divided into some groups and planned the day, and the judges commented on each group's display and awarded prizes. By doing these, the participants have learnt and consolidated the knowledge of League affairs in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
On the evening of November 16, the third training course, with two parts, was held online. Bai Yu, the Deputy Director of the Organization Division of CUEB CYL Committee, introduced the operating steps of the online system of Beijing Communist Youth League through both PPT and practical demonstration, focusing on user login and registration, and CYL memberships transfer. Yi Linna, the Deputy Director of the Organization Division of the CUEB CYL Committee, presented the basic knowledge of League affairs, and explained the matters involved in the daily management of League branches, especially on League fee collection, League membership registration and League membership card replacement.
At 13:30 on November 17, the fourth training course was held in the lecture hall of the Boxue Building. Han Xinyu, the League branch secretary of International Finance Class, Grade 2021, from "Pioneer Cup" League branch of the School of Finance, shared her experience in the construction of the League branch. Focusing on the theme of “Devoting our youth to the 20th National Congress”, she reviewed the tasks, ideological guidance, and service work of the CYL branch in the past year, summarized the achievements and honors of the branch, and encouraged the new League branch secretaries to bear in mind the missions and shoulder responsibilities. Zhang Wenqi, a new League branch secretary from the School of Management and Engineering, gave a speech as a representative. He summarized the gains of this training camp, and called on fellows to work hand in hand with the League members in various tasks, overcome difficulties, and shoulder responsibilities and missions of CYL cadres.
The latter part of the training camp consisted of quizzes and situational presentations. League branch secretaries discussed in groups, and took part in the quick quizzes to gain points, which enhanced the participants' comprehension on the CYL. The host made in-depth comments on the education and evaluation of League members, the general meeting of the League branch for developing League members, and the training of League activists and gave practical demonstrations. Each group drew lots to do situational presentations which can deepen their comprehension on the "Three Meetings, Two Systems and One Course". At the end of the course, Director Guo gave comments on their performance, affirmed their efforts and encouraged them to keep learning. He also suggested them to take full advantage of handbooks, learn the official documents well, and forge ahead vigorously so as to be better cadres and meet better selves.
On the evening of November 17, the Organization Division of the CUEB CYL Committee tested the two-day learning results of the new League branch secretaries and commissaries in charge of organization through an online examination. A total of 298 students took the final exam, 277 of which scored 85 or above. After the exam, the host led the participants to review the answers to consolidate their knowledge and deepen their memory on League affairs and on “Three Meetings, Two Systems and One Course.”
The two-day training camp came to a successful close. It not only mobilized the enthusiasm of the new League branch secretaries and commissaries in charge of organization, but also specified the process and norms of the work carried out by the branch. In this way, it has laid a solid foundation and enhanced strict management of the League, which is sure to pave the way for sound development of grassroots League organization.
