To celebrate the victory of the Party’s 20th National Congress and carry forward the revolutionary culture in the New Era, an oil painting exhibition on CPC History themed “Working Hard and Charting a Course for the Future”, was opened in the hall of the second floor in CUEB Library on November 9, jointly held by CUEB Library and Artlib Technology Company. As one of the important measures for the library to implement the spirit of the Party’s 20th National Congress and integrate itself into the revolutionary CUEB system, the exhibition aimed to make full use of the role of culture in education and foster personnel with morality and knowledge.

Altogether, 36 exquisite works were showcased in the exhibition, including Tolerance, Autumn Harvest Uprising, Reunion of the Three Main Forces of the Red Army, Fighting in Shaanbei, Conquer Qomolangma, Zhou Enlai Speaking at the Bandung Conference, Lei Feng, Deng Xiaoping in Guang Dong in 1992, Transfer of Hong Kong Defense Affairs in 1997, On the Shore of Weiming Lake and Love during the Pandemic. Through these wonderful oil paintings, the exhibition displayed the glorious history of the Party in four parts, namely the Great Victory in the New-Democratic Revolution (1921-1949), Socialist Revolution and Construction (1949-1978), Reform, Opening up, and Socialist Modernization (1978-2012) and the New Era of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics (2012-2022). All CUEBers could learn the contribution of the Party in the last 100 years while appreciating the beauty of art.

The exhibition drew the attention of CUEBers, including students and teachers of International School of Economics and Management, non-CPC personages of the United-Front Work Department and members of the Party Branch of Catering Center of the Office of Logistics Services. Through these classic works of art, CUEBers could not only feel the distinctive characteristics of the times of artists in terms of shape, color, style, conception and other aspects, feel the characters and stories in the paintings, feel the atmosphere and shock of history, but also feel the spirit and noble moral character of the Party. It should be noted that art plays a great subtle role in our efforts against the COVID-19 epidemic. In hard moments, art can always form a powerful force with its uniqueness, encouraging teachers and students to inherit and carry forward the revolutionary spirit and culture in the new era and on the new journey, and to be the builders and successors of socialism in the new era
