Professor Guo Yuanyuan Nominated as 2022 Outstanding CPPCC National Committee Members
Recently, the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (hereinafter the Committee) has released the awards of Outstanding CPPCC National Committee Members” of 2022. A total of 20 members of the Committee received the awards, and 13 CPPCC members, including Prof. Guo Yuanyuan, were nominated.
As a member of the 13th National Committee of the CPPCC, Guo has shouldered her responsibilities to serve the country and the people in the past 5 years. She has put forward and participated in about 40 proposals and led about 30 public opinion surveys, with 3 of them being adopted. Guo has actively performed her duties in Biweekly Consultation Meetings, Reading Campaign of the CPPCC National Committee and so forth. Notably, Guo has been appointed as the manager of Reading Group of Chinese Classics for 6 times and the reading leader for several times, and her excellent work was highly recognized by the leaders and members of the Committee. As a member of Non-Party Experts and Intellectuals Proposal Group of the United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee, Guo has written several Non-Communist proposals and speeches, winning high praise in the annual review of the United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee. As president of Fengtai District Friendship Association for Non-Party Intellectuals, Guo has also been committed to the building of Primary-level United Front Work Mechanism for Non-Communists. Besides, she was honored as the CPPCC Activists of the Reading Campaign in 2020, 2021 and 2022, excellent Council member of Beijing Friendship Association for Non-Party Intellectuals and Excellent CPPCC Members of Fengtai District. From 2020 to 2022, her 5 suggestions were recognized by the leader of the Committee.
As a member of the 14th National Committee of the CPPCC, Guo is determined to further perform her duties to offer suggestions and pool consensus with her wisdom and strength. In this way, she would help the special consultative departments serve the country and the people better and set a role model for CPPCC members in the new era.
