On the afternoon of April 25, Wu Jie, Director of Office of Development and Planning of Beijing Municipal Education Commission (BMEC) and his team conducted a research tour to CUEB. Fu Zhifeng, President of CUEB, Yao Linxiu and Chen Yanbin, members of the Standing Committee of the CUEB Party Committee and CUEB Vice President, attended the meeting.

Fu expressed a warm welcome to leaders from Office of Development and Planning of BMEC and introduced CUEB’s whole development, including its philosophy, strategies, key projects, supporting measures. He pointed out that, as a Beijing Municipal high-level research university, CUEB provides good opportunities and environment to students in Beijing. In recent years, CUEB has seen a rapid development on graduate education, especially the education of doctoral students. The graduates play an important role in the social and economic development of the capital, and we have enough confidence and competence to foster more high-level professionals. CUEB will continue to serve Beijing well by integrating disciplinary and professional resources as a high-level research university.

Yao and Chen exchanged ideas with Wu and his team regarding CUEB’s personnel cultivation and graduate student enrollment.

Wu extended appreciation to CUEB for supporting Office of Development and Planning of BMEC and highly recognized CUEB’s achievements in recent years. He believed that the university did a good job in many respects, such as strengthening CUEB characteristics, developing key projects and grasping opportunities. With rapid development, CUEB will gain more achievements in building a high-level research university.
