On behalf of the Party Committee of CUEB, Han Xianzhou expressed sincere gratitude to all teachers, students, and alumni for their support to Alma Mater and active participation in the work of the Association and Education Foundation. Han also appreciated the efforts of the 3rd Council and Board of Supervisors, and expressed congratulations to elected members of the 4th Council and Board of Supervisors. Han pointed out that we always attach great importance to the work of the Association and build it into the home to all alumni, in a bid to unite their strength for the development of CUEB.

Han put forward three requirements for Alumni Association. The first is to study and fully implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and the important observations delivered by President Xi Jinping on education, so as to embark on the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education and facilitate personnel training with the aid of alumni. The second is to leverage its regional and disciplinary edges to consolidate alumni’s strength and comprehensively enhance the capability to serve Beijing in the new era. The third is to serve the alumni and rally their strength to boost the development of the university. Han stressed that all departments, schools, and faculty should actively support and participate in alumni work and enhance the awareness of service to increase communication with alumni. Han hoped that the alumni would continue to support the Association and Education Foundation, and work together to boost the development of CUEB.

Fu gives a speech.

In his speech, Fu extended a warm welcome to all representatives and expressed sincere gratitude to the alumni and all members of the 3rd Council and Board of Supervisors for their long-term care, support, and participation in the university and alumni work. Fu remarked that in recent years, our efforts to integrate our development into capital development have beard fruits. For a long time, the alumni have acted on CUEB’s motto “Advocate morality, value competence, strategize national development, and serve the people” and have made important contribution to serving national economy and social development.

Fu stressed that the alumni are an integrated part for the progress and prosperity of CUEB, and sincerely expected it to play an active role in developing CEUB into a high-level research university, China’s first-class and worldly-renowned university of finance and economics.

Yin Zhichao reports on the work of the Council.

Yin Zhichao pointed out that under the guidance of leading officials at all levels, the coordination between all schools and functional departments, and the support of all alumni at home and abroad, the Alumni Association has reinforced the leadership of the Party and consolidated foundation of the alumni work since the 3rd Council. In addition, steps were also taken to build platforms for their growing desires, pool consensus for the school’s development, enrich resources for economic and social development and strengthen the regulation for better performance. Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the Alumni Association will continue to further implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and strengthen Party Building for high-quality development. For that to happen, it is important to upgrade service to fulfill alumni’s growing demand, and roll out the further practice of the “Three-Wide Education” system (which means all educational workers strive to foster students in all processes and all respects). At the same time, we should create an enabling cultural atmosphere to advance the operation system and stimulate the potential of alumni.
