Preliminary List of “2024 CNKI Highly Cited Scholars” Features 172 CUEB Scholars
China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) has recently unveiled the preliminary list of “2024 CNKI Highly Cited Scholars”, featuring 172 scholars from CUEB. Notably, 68 are ranked within the TOP 1% of highly cited scholars, and an additional 104 are in the TOP 5%.
The China Scientometrics and Bibliometrics Research Center (CNKI Research Center) has conducted an objective evaluation of scholars’ academic influence in 2024 based on domestic academic achievements indexed in CNKI. Following a rigorous process involving quantitative data analysis, review of selection schemes, and expert consultations across disciplines, the preliminary list has been finalized.
To be recognized as the “2024 CNKI Highly Cited Scholars TOP 1% ”, scholars must meet the following criteria: their cumulative PCSI (Paper Citation Standardized Index) for publications over the past decade must rank among the TOP 1% of an initial pool of 30,000 scholars, with a minimum threshold of 31.016; they have published at least five papers with a PCSI higher than the theoretical average of 1.65 in the past decade, and are required to publish at least one paper with significant impact in the same period. For the “2024 CNKI Highly Cited Scholars TOP 5%,” scholars must have their cumulative PCSI within the TOP 1% to 5% of an initial pool of 89,000 scholars, with a minimum threshold of 10.297, and must meet the same publishing criteria as those for the TOP 1% .

Moving forward, CUEB aims to uphold the principles outlined in the Fifth Party Congress, carry out the “Summit Project” to enhance research quality and boost its capacities for innovative research and contributions to the nation and the capital. This endeavor will promote CUEB’s high-quality development.
