On the morning of December 8, CUEB signed strategic collaboration agreements with the Administrative Commission of Zhongguancun Science Park in Tongzhou District in the second-floor Linghang Hall at Party and Mass Service Center of Beijing Municipal Administrative Center. Lin Zhenghang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Zhongguancun Science Park in Tongzhou District and Director of Administrative Commission, Wang Wenju, the Party Secretary of CUEB, and Li Xiaomu, Vice President, attended the ceremony.

Wang Wenju expressed his gratitude for the meticulous organization and significant attention given to the ceremony. Wang introduced development orientation, discipline construction, scientific research, and personnel cultivation of CUEB, as well as its contribution to the construction of Beijing’s Four Centers (namely, the national political center, cultural center, center for international exchanges, and center for scientific discovery and technological innovation) and “Two Zones” (an integrated demonstration zone for further opening the national service sector and a pilot free trade zone). Wu indicated that CUEB, as a municipal high-level research university in Beijing, adheres to problem-oriented approaches to meet the strategic needs of national carbon peaking and carbon neutrality and serve the construction of global digital economy benchmark cities. By solving difficulties faced by the government, CUEB tries to achieve industry-university-research cooperation. While enhancing its comprehensive capability, CUEB also contributes to the capital development in the new era with its wisdom by empowering the construction of “Two Zones” in Beijing sub-center with the transformation of digital-enabled personnel.

Lin Zhenghang extended a welcome to the CUEB team. He pointed out that CUEB, as a municipal high-level research university in Beijing, has strong faculty and research capabilities. The Administrative Commission of Zhongguancun Science Park in Tongzhou District, which plays a leading role in the dominant function of Beijing’s sub-center, has an urgent need for intellectual support in terms of policy research, industrial planning, green development, and digital economy. He hoped that both sides would enhance cooperation on research projects, construction of think tanks, internships, and employment to advance green and low-carbon economic development, thus building Beijing into a digital economy benchmark city. The cooperation will improve both sides’ high-quality development and provide powerful support for the construction of Beijing’s sub-center.

On behalf of the two sides, Li Xiaomu and Lin Zhenghang signed strategic cooperation framework agreements.

Then, Wang Wenju and his team visited Xinyuan Jinwu (Beijing) Technology Company and China Beijing Green Exchange.

Professor Lang Lihua, doctoral supervisor of the School of Economics was invited to give training on Overall Attraction and Inspiration of Business Environment for cadres from the Administrative Commission of Zhongguancun Science Park in Tongzhou District, Administrative Commission of Canal Financial Business District in Tongzhou District, Tongzhou District Commission of Science and Technology, Tongzhou District Bureau of Economy and Information Technology.
