In a recent development, CUEB officially launched a specialized website on Building the Chinese Independent Knowledge System of Economics, marking a significant step forward in the university’s efforts to promote the development of China’s economic theory system and the construction of the Chinese independent knowledge system of economics.

The remarkable practice of China’s economic development has provided an important opportunity for the construction of China’s economic theory system and Chinese independent knowledge system of economics. How to elevate the successful practices of China’s economic development into a systematic theoretical doctrine, and to build the Chinese independent knowledge system of economics that provides high-level theoretical support for promoting the Chinese path to modernization, has become the mission of the era for economists nationwide. As one of China’s key economic research institutions, CUEB has taken on this historic responsibility, making significant progress with distinctive outcomes in multiple fields. The specialized website serves not only as a platform to showcase CUEB’s achievements in building this knowledge system but also as a new avenue for sharing findings and fostering collaboration with other institutions. It aims to further promote the building of the Chinese independent knowledge system of economics.

Work on the website began in late June this year, under the direct supervision of the school’s Party Committee. Chen Yanbin, Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of CUEB, led the project, providing in-depth guidance throughout the process. The School of Economics collaborated closely with the Party Committee Publicity Department (News Center), Network Information Center, and other departments, leading to this academic platform, rich in content, simple in design, and sound in function The website aims to provide convenient and efficient access to resources and a platform for information exchange, both for faculty and students in CUEB and academic peers at other institutions.

The website consists of three main sections, each highlighting CUEB’s key work and accomplishments in building the Chinese independent knowledge system of economics.

The section features important chapters authored by CUEB scholars and showcases the handbook’s review and symposiums, in which CUEB played an active and leading role. These efforts have made important contributions to what is widely recognized as a representative achievement in building China’s independent knowledge system of economics.

The related academic seminars covered various cutting-edge fields, including economic growth, macroeconomic policy, the digital economy, high-quality development, and common prosperity.
