On September 13, the Publicity Team at Community Levels of “New Strides in the New Era” was invited to the Growth Lecture to carry out a public report meeting for launching theoretical research and publicity. The purpose of this activity was to deeply study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and cultivate young professionals who can shoulder the great responsibility of the national rejuvenation. Present at the report was Xiao Junfeng, Member and Deputy Dean of the Party Leadership Group of Beijing Academy of Social Sciences, head of the Beijing Municipal Committee Lecturer Mission, Meng Bo, Deputy Party Secretary of CUEB, Fu Lin, administrative Vice Minister of the Party Committee Publicity Department, Wang Jinbao, Minister of the Student Affairs Department, Yu Binbin, Deputy Party Secretary of School of Marxism Studies, and Xu Yanli, a cadre of Publicity Department at Community Levels of Beijing Municipal Committee Lecturer Mission. The activity was co-hosted by the Publicity Department, Student Affairs Department and the School of Marxism Studies, and was presided over by Ji Yanyan, Deputy Minister of Student Affairs Department.

In the meeting, six speakers included Zhao Jianming, volunteer in Beijing 2022 from Central University of Finance and Economics, Zhong Yu, floating population manager from Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau of Shunyi Branch, Zhang Jianping, First Secretary in Hong Shuiyu Village of Mentougou District and Beijing Education and Media Center, Dong Ping, Co-founder of Beijing Role Model and Beijing Green Boat Emergency Rescue Promotion Center, Liu Xinhua, director of Performance Planning and Coordination Division from the Opening and Closing Ceremony Department of Beijing Organizing Committee for the Winter Olympic Games (BOCOG), Wang Jiansheng, driver in Northern Rent-A-Car Co., Ltd and National May 1st Labor Medal Winner, Beijing Role Model and representative to the People’s Congress of Beijing Municipality. They vividly expressed their original aspiration of serving the people and remaining at their posts, determination of working hard and confidence of making contributions. And also, they call on our students to build great ideals and actively participate in social practice in a down-to-earth manner, so as to bloom our youth in the practice of building a modern socialist country in all respects.

Then, the delegation members held a symposium with student representatives. Based on the content of the report and their own life experience, the members conducted in-depth exchanges with students in a humorous manner, and expected that students should move forward with fortitude and endeavor in their future studies and life, making more contributions to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the development of the capital in the new era.

This lecture is one of the education campaigns themed “Studying and Implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era”. The activity aims to help students draw spiritual strength and create new achievements. Additionally, it also encourages students to remain steadfast in their belief, shoulder the mission, and take actions to implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era with full confidence and vigorous spirits, forming a strong synergy for the building of a modern socialist country in all aspects.

In the future, the Party Committee Student Affairs Department will continue to carry out a series of education campaigns themed “Studying and Implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era”. Being faithful and practical, we will pool strength for making great contributions in the new era.
