On November 25th, School of Economics held the decennial celebration for the cooperation with French universities at the Lecture Hall, Bona Building.

In October 2005, based on the inter-university cooperation agreement, School of Economics signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Novancia Business School Paris (the former Advancia-Negocia Business School), which was the inception of its cooperation with French business schools.

The celebration kicked off with a short video which reviewed the cooperation between School of Economics and the French schools, such as Novancia Business School Paris (the former Advancia-Negocia Business School), Toulouse 1 Capitole University, the University Toulouse - Jean Jaurès, Clermont Graduate School of Management, Burgundy School of Business, Brest Business School. Many precious photos in the video showed the study and everyday life of the exchange teachers and students. Also in the video, Professor Anne Karaivanov and Professor Noreen O'Shea, representatives of French sister schools expressed their best wishes to the cooperation, so did the graduates of School of Economics who had participated in the exchange programs.

The celebration witnessed joint performances by Chinese and French students showcasing their experience during exchanges. The students in the 2015 exchange program represented through a musical their experience studying, living and traveling abroad. Moreover, two French students expressed in Chinese their feelings of studying in China.

The history of the international cooperation could date back to the 1990s, when the Economics Department began to accept international students and send their staff abroad for exchanges. What marked the beginning of extensive cooperation, however, was the signing of the comprehensive cooperation agreement with Novancia Business School Paris. Over ten years from 2006 to 2015, the cooperation between School of Economics and the French Schools has been ever strengthening. Along with continuous staff exchanges, more than 207 students joined the exchange programs in France, among which 87 received dual diplomas and over 90 students pursued their master degrees in Toulouse 1 Capitole University and the University Toulouse - Jean Jaurès. The number of French schools in cooperation increased from one to five, program types from one to nine, and the number of exchange students annually from 18 to 34. At the same time, over the years more than 200 French students were received by School of Economics.

The successful cooperation with French schools fueled the comprehensive international collaboration of School of Economics. Over the past ten years, its partnership has been expanded from Europe to the America. Up to now, there are 20 schools in cooperation with School of Economics, mainly in France, the United States, Canada, Finland, Germany, Sweden, Argentina and other countries. The exchange features dual bachelor degree programs, dual master degree programs, one-semester exchange programs, vacation courses, BA/MA programs and others, with 511 students engaged. School of Economics also offers programs and courses attracting a growing number of international students. School of Economics endeavors to improve its international cooperation, innovate its teaching methods and build up step by step its international reputation.
