CUEB Delegation Visits San Francisco to Recruit Overseas Talents

From January 2nd to 5th, CUEB employment interview for overseas talents was held in San Francisco. The interview was organized by CUEB Division of Personnel, engaging related teachers from CUEB International School of Economics and Management.

The delegation conducted one-on-one interview with candidates, relying on American Economics Association (AEA), an international platform aggregating high-caliber economics talents. The recruitment kicked off in September2015, and received 208 applications in total. 60 candidates were shortlisted for interviews after resume screening, recommend letter reference and academic research ability and potential evaluation by experts organized by CUEB International School of Economics and Management. The interviewees are assessed according to their academic research, teaching and personality. Based on the final ranking, offer letters are to be issued soon after.

Since 2012, to implement the large-scale overseas talents introduction strategy, CUEB delegation, led by school leadership, has participated in AEA Annual Meeting every year for overseas talents recruitment. Over the past four years, International School of Economics and Management has built up a strong teaching team of 34 excellent overseas doctors and near 10distinguished professors. An international talent pool is taking shape, fueling the engine of high-level academic research and giving CUEB a cutting edge in econometrics and related fields.
