CUEB-ESC Bretagne Brest Cooperative Agreements Sighed
On January 12th, a delegation from ESC Bretagne Brest led by Gilles Gueguen, director of International Development, visited CUEB School of Economics. The two parties exchanged ideas and signed cooperative agreements on undergraduate and postgraduate exchanges, faculty visiting as well as research cooperation.
Before the meeting, the two sides watched CUEB English publicity film, which sketched CUEB’s achievements in research, teaching as well as international cooperation and communication, and highlighted its school-running strategy of “Based in Beijing, Serving the Capital, Supporting the Nation and Building a Global Presence”.
The two renewed the “1+2+1” dual-degree program agreement for undergraduates and signed another two agreements: a “2+1+1” dual-degree program for undergraduates and a semester-long exchange program for postgraduates. Bridging courses and credit transfer were also detailed. After the meeting, Gilles Gueguen and the delegation visited CUEB Camel Time, a student-run coffee shop, talking with students on entrepreneurship.
CUEB signed its first undergraduate dual-degree program agreement with ESC Bretagne Brest on the basis of mutual credit recognition in 2011. By now, altogether 10 students from CUEB School of Economics have joined the program and finished their studies abroad. They got some credits required by CUEB through credit transfer, and the rest credits through make-up examinations or course retake.
