On October 31, Sun Guangjie, Secretary of the Party Committee of Ji Lin University of Finance and Economics (JUFE) and Tong Meng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of JUFE and their team visited CUEB for research. Wang Wenju, Party Secretary of CUEB, Li Xiaomu, Vice President and Chen Yanbin, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President participated in the research and attended the symposium, which was chaired by Wu Weixing, Deputy Party Secretary and President of CUEB.

During the symposium, Wang Wenju expressed a warm welcome and introduced current situations of CUEB. He pointed out that the two schools have always enjoyed close bonds and a deep friendship. JUFE has laid a great foundation in Economic Management, Green Finance and Financial Taxation and other domains, which can serve as valuable references for CUEB. He expected that the two schools to continue in-depth exchanges and cooperation in personnel development, discipline construction, scientific research, social service, and other areas, with the aim for more fruits.

Wu Weixing Presides over the Symposium

Sun Jieguang expressed his gratitude for the hospitality and appreciated the rapid development of CUEB in recent years. He said that the two schools are both local important universities featured in finance and economics, with a high degree of similarity in disciplines, and believed that this visit would further strengthen mutual learning and close cooperation, allowing them to achieve new heights and jointly promote the high-quality development of the two schools.

Tong Meng introduced the purpose of this visit and current development of JUFE, as well as CUEB’s recent achievements. He hoped that the two schools could learn from each other, leverage each other’s strengths, broaden working direction, and deepen practical cooperation to achieve win-win development.

The two sides shared their insights around teaching and professional construction, professional team building, discipline construction, scientific research, and other aspects.

Sun Jieguang, Tong Meng and their team visited the School History Museum to understand the school’s history, development and achievements, as well as the library to better understand the construction of Digital School of Marxism Studies.

Present at this symposium were Ma Xiuying, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of JUFE, heads of the Party Committee Office, President Office, Academic Affairs Office, Teachers Affairs Department of  School Party Committee, Personnel Office and Development Planning and Discipline Construction Office of JUFE, as well as staffs from CUEB Party and Government Office, Development Planning Division Office, Academic Affairs Office, Research Office, Party Committee Graduate Affairs Department, Graduate School, Teachers Affairs Department of the School Party Committee, Personnel Office and School of Public Finance and Taxation.
