On March 29, the inaugural meeting of Xizang Alumni Association of CUEB was held in Lhasa. Vice President Yin Zhichao, member of the Standing Committee of CUEB Party Committee, and Vice President of the Standing Council of the Alumni Association attended and delivered a speech. Alumni representatives from Xizang, along with faculty members from the External Relations and Cooperation Office and the Alumni Association, participated in the meeting both online and offline. The meeting was chaired by Wang Zhixuan, an alumnus of the Class of 2001 majoring in Trade Economics.

On behalf of CUEB, Yin Zhichao extended congratulations on the establishment of the Xizang Alumni Association. He highlighted the school’s recent achievements and invited alumni to celebrate the university’s 70th anniversary. He expected that the Alumni Association would serve as a bridge for regular communication and exchange between alumni and the Alma Mater, as well as among alumni themselves.

The meeting heard a report on the preparation of the Xizang Alumni Association, read out the official approval for its establishment, and voted to adopt the constitution of Xizang Alumni Association as well as the list of the first Liaison Committee members. The inaugural Liaison Committee members include Wang Zhixuan; Chen Jun, a 2002 graduate in Marketing; Xire Sangmu, a 2012 graduate in Labor Relations; Chong Zha, a 2012 graduate in Taxation; Danzeng Duoji, a 2015 graduate in Trade Economics; Nan Xiaolong, a 2019 graduate in Communication; and Rebiya, a 2019 graduate in Law. During the meeting, the Xizang Alumni Association was officially presented with its flag.

In the communication, alumni reflected on their memorable academic life and voiced their shared support for the Alumni Association, uniting alumni in Xizang, and advancing the region’s economic and social progress.

After the meeting, the Xizang Alumni Association held the flag handover ceremony at Tuanjie Park to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the school’s establishment.
